Setting up Products Upsell

This module lets you upsell specific products to your customer. You can select any product from your store that want your customers to buy. This is great if you are trying to upsell new arrival products or clear out few products with special discounts.

How it Works

When you enable the Products Upsell module and select the products you want to display, they appear in your Cart drawers specified position. Unlike Recommendations module, the same Products are always displayed no matter what. When a customer likes a product and click the Add button, the Products are instantly added to the cart.

Setting up the Module

To setup this module, first enable it from the Products Upsell tab.

There are 3 ways you can display the products:

Specific Products: If you want to display specific Products, select this option.

Products from Specific Product Types: If you want to display products with a specific Product type, use this option. Make sure at-least some of your products to have some product type set to them to use this option.

Products with Specific Tags: If you want to display products with specific tags, use this option. Make sure at-least some of your products to have some tags set to them to use this option.

Limiting the Number of Displayed Products: If you select Product Types or tags, you can set the number of products you can show with Product Limit option.

Excluding Products: You can also exclude certain products from appearing by selecting them from the Exclude tab.

If you want to change what happens to the product in the list when they are added to cart, go to the Misc tab, and select an option from the “When a Product is Added” option. You have 3 options:

Do Nothing: When the product is added to the list, it will be added to the cart but it will remain in the Products Upsell box unchanged.
Change Button Label: You can change the Add Button label of the product to Added or something else so that the user knows this product is already added.
Remove from the Upsell List: When you Select this option, and the product is added to cart, the product is also removed from the upsell list.

The Products Upsell module does not display the product type or the vendor’s name. If you want to Display any of them, go to Misc tab, and from the Secondary Data dropdown, select the one you want to display.

Displaying the Products Upsell module only when certain conditions are met

With Cart+ you have the option to display a module only when a customer meets certain condition. You can display only if the they have spent a certain amount, added a certain number of products, from a specific country and a lot more.
